Once a week, for the past few months, I have been volunteering at The Milo Foundation in San Rafael, CA, photographing animals who need homes. Milo works tirelessly to rescue animals from local kill shelters and give them a second chance, placing them with one of their many, many foster families, or finding them a space in their brick-and-mortar shelter. Larger animals such as horses and goats, special needs animals, or animals who are finding it more difficult to find a forever home will always have refuge in Milo's sanctuary in Mendocino. The staff is incredibly dedicated and hard-working, and this is a fantastic organization.
They are in the process of building a new b&m shelter in Point Richmond, and they're holding online auctions to raise funds. You can donate directly to Milo, but to check out the auctions, please visit this website.
